The Feed and Nurture project
aimed to provide critical nutrients and milk to children in IDP camps in
Tigray. It addressed the urgent need to meet the nutritional requirements of
vulnerable children affected by conflict in Tigray. Through the provision of high-nutrient
supplements, the project aimed to reduce malnutrition and support the overall
health and well-being of children. In addition to the supplements, the project
also provided powdered milk.
The project had a strong
focus on community and sustainability, with local community groups and NGOs
involved in the planning and implementation of activities. This ensured that
the project was responsive to the needs of the local communities and that the benefits
were lasting.
Generally, the “Feed and
Nurture” project provided a vital lifeline to the children affected by Tigray
war, ensuring that they had access to the essential nutrients they needed to
survive and thrive in a difficult and uncertain environment.
