The Mobility for Heroes project was a collaborative effort between concerned THCO and concerned Tigrian diaspora to provide wheelchairs and mobility devices for war veterans in Tigray. This project aimed to improve the quality of life for these brave veterans who had been injured during their service to their country.

Initially, a need assessment was conducted to determine the specific requirements of each veteran in terms of mobility aids.  Based on this assessment, THCO bought and distributed of the best quality wheelchairs. Furthermore, the project also offered cash to the veterans for holiday expenses.

Overall, the “Mobility for Heroes” project was a great success, providing war veterans with the essential mobility devices needed to help them navigate their daily lives with greater ease and independence.
